Basic German

The Basic German Group has currently 10 members and we meet for an hour twice a month, usually on the 1st and 4th Friday at 2 p.m. in the home of one of our members in Basing.

Members tell their news in German and we follow the text book “Let’s talk German”. Complete beginners can be taught separately in an adjoining room by a separate teacher for some of the time. We have a lot of laughs and after the hour, tea or coffee is served.

Conversational German

The Conversational German Group has 5 members and we meet for an hour twice a month, usually on the 1st and 3rd Friday at 2 p.m. in the Group Leader’s house at Oakley.

The discussion is entirely in German, except for the occasional translation and explanation and there is no set agenda. We just talk on anything of interest. Tea or coffee is offered after the hour.
